Did you know Sephora is doing a storewide 20% sale till Monday? Now you do! I braved the crowds there this weekend on a friend’s brilliant suggestion that we take the opportunity to get a head start on Christmas shopping, and I’m so glad I did. I can’t recommend it enough – just about every brand there had cute gift sets on display, so to say we were incredibly productive is an understatement!
Of course, I’m one of those people who can’t go into Sephora without picking up a little something for myself, so I very happily came out on top as well. And since we’re already girl-talking here, I thought I’d share a little bit about my current makeup bag favourites.
My most recent acquisition was Bond-inspired, thanks to Bérénice Marlohe’s femme fatale burgundy lips. MAC lipstick in Diva was the perfect duplicate.
While I was at MAC, I also picked up one of their Perfectly Plush Brush Kits to use as a travel set. How cute is the packaging?
Speaking of travel, you have no idea how much space and weight Urban Decay’s Naked Palette has freed up in my suitcase on trips.
The other Urban Decay product I’m addicted to is their Primer Potion. Eyeshadow creases, begone!
Recently, my mom bruised her cheek roughhousing with the dog and needed a good concealer. A teeny dab of Amazing Cosmetics Amazing Concealer, and she was good as new.
I so love the non-greasy, minty feel of Burts Bees Beeswax Lip Balm that I keep tubes of it everywhere…even under my pillow, so its within easy reach if my lips get dry at night.
Now that you know what I’ve got in my makeup bag, I’d love to hear about what you keep in yours – I’m actually on the hunt for the perfect blush, so any recommendations would be fab. In the meantime, have a pretty weekend my dears!
