I don’t think I’ve ever worked on a tropical wedding before, which is odd since I live in the topics. Sure, lots of weddings incorporate local flowers (orchids especially), and beach weddings aren’t uncommon…but I’d love to see someone take it all the way! I’m talking Tiki torches, pineapples and coconuts everywhere, and maybe even a lone ukelele player to sing you down the aisle.
My inspiration for this board was definitely Polynesian, but it’s nothing that can’t be recreated here in Singapore. The mood here veers ever-so-slightly retro and embraces a hint of kitsch, but overall it’s happy and summery and fun without trying too hard. Just like a perfect day at the beach.
