In case you couldn’t already tell from the huge number of posts dedicated to the topic, I love type. Yes, even though I had some real type-nazi professors in college: one who actually made me re-submit an essay because he refused to read anything in Times New Roman! True story.
Quick digression – how cool are these posters? The one on the left makes me smile.
Love them? I know. I do too, but the last one I bought still hasn’t been framed yet.
But back to the point I was trying to make: I got very excited when I found Ty Wilkins‘ blog featuring a play-by-play article by Jackson Cavanaugh on how he designed the Okay Type logotype. I’d never really given much thought to how typefaces were designed before, but now I’m never going to be able to stop thinking about it.
