Yesterday was all about press TLC – we drove out to the boondocks to pick up a rubber piece to replace the one we broke in our washup blade, a bright red oil can and a 20-litre tank of motor oil so we could do a really thorough maintenance session.
Not that any of our efforts appear to have worked at all: halfway through a run of my business cards, the press made the most awful noise and seized in the impression position, prematurely ending our printing for the night. We’re headed back there today with the right tools to fix the problem, and our fingers crossed tightly since we have a ton more printing to do within the week.
