Bond jokes aside, I’m deliriously happy to be done with being perma-gilded from edge painting a 2000-card order today. It was pretty while it lasted though.
As you can probably guess, this is for a wedding order we’re currently working on. This photo was taken before I started, when I was trying to pick the perfect shade of vintage, burnished gold to match the ink and ribbon colour.
Speaking of ribbon, here’s a crazy little factoid: tomorrow we’ll be using 1000 yards of grosgrain to put the finishing touches on the project – that’s about a kilometer, or 2.5 times round an olympic-sized running track!
