I don’t think of myself as a particularly fashionable traveller, but I like to make an effort to look un-frumpy when visiting dressier cities. As such, I’ve developed a boring-but-effective packing strategy: pick a limited colour palette, and stick to it.
It really takes the guesswork out of packing, and ensures (for the most part!) that I look fairly coordinated while living out of a suitcase.
I did bring some coloured accessories with me as well to liven up my outfits – a gold tote for shopping, an olive linen jacket for daytime wear, and a bright red clutch for the evenings.
At the end of the day you just can’t argue with black and white, right?
