I love the quaint beach town vibe of Manhattan Beach. Aside from the beach and pier, there are so many great little restaurants and cafes and boutiques there that I could easily spend a whole day there happily accomplishing nothing.

It was a beautiful day out when we went, but so windy I had to hold onto my hat very tightly. Also, I’m glad to have brought a woolly vest for the evening, because it certainly got quite chilly once the sun went down. If you’re ever in the area, you absolutely must try the food at Manhattan Beach Post. And if their tempting dessert menu doesn’t get the best of you, then ice cream at the Manhattan Beach Creamery down the street is a perfect way to finish off the evening.
