Physician's Formula Product Reviews The Highlighter Chronicles

the highlighter chronicles: physician’s formula

October 14, 2015

Yup, the highlighter chronicles continue. I just couldn’t quit!

It seemed fitting to pick the series back up with a highlighter range I keep coming back to: Physician’s Formula Mineral Glow Pearls. Despite already owning the Translucent and Bronze Pearls, I recently picked up Beige Pearl as well.

Heavily swatched, Beige is the teensiest bit warmer than my NC15-ish skin tone but on my face all that shows up is a nice gentle glow. It’s not shimmery or reflective at all, which also makes it a good finishing powder if you’re looking for all-over luminosity.

Personally, I prefer it as subtle everyday highlight rather than finishing powder, though I do use a fluffy powder brush to disperse it more widely along the sides of my face. Coupled with a hint of contour, it really gives my face an enhanced but still natural-looking dimension.

Speaking of awesome drugstore deals, I also repurchased Wet n Wild’s Reserve Your Cabana (which I reviewed here) since my first pan is in Singapore. For less than $4, it’s a highlighting staple I just couldn’t bear to be without!

I love how light this is! It would be a great option for older women who want to avoid shimmers that just over – emphasize pores.
