new launch: make up for ever artist rouge lipsticks

For those who haven’t already seen my Instagram story, Make Up For Ever Singapore threw a hoppin’ party last night to celebrate the launch of their new range of Artist Rouge Lipsticks.

The new line includes 45 stunning colours in two finishes: 31 lustrous (satin) and 14 matte. As you can see, the range of colours is vast: the nudes, pinks, corals and reds we all rely on are there…

…but so are some really creative options like black, white, blue and more. I wish I had better photos, but the event was in a nightclub so you can imagine what the lighting was like!

There were body-painted models roaming around for photos, live music performances, cool DJs and a screening of the Icona Pop x Make Up For Ever music video which is essentially makeup porn set to the catchiest beat ever. Good job, marketing team.

And for anyone who wanted their own pop star lips, the event featured a row of makeup artists doing lip makeovers.

When it was my turn I told the artist to decide for me. Because what’s the fun in picking something I already know I like right?

I LOVED it. This is actually one of the two signature Icona Pop shades from the collection, with glitter on top. I’d never have thought to try dark blue lipsticks before this, but I’m totally sold now. I foresee many more navy lip FOTDs in the near future.

Thanks for the fun night and all the new beauty inspiration. I’m off to figure out what kind of eye makeup matches dark blue lipstick! (And if you have suggestions, I’m all ears)
