In addition to the full range of Ambient Lighting Blushes I reviewed here Hourglass also makes a blush palette, which is all kinds of pretty as well.
And yes, those are matching roses.
The palette contains Luminous Flush and Mood Exposure from their regular line, as well Incandescent Electra, which was a shade created exclusively for the palettes.
As I mentioned previously, Luminous Flush and Mood Exposure happened to be my favourite colours from the permanent collection, so this palette was right up my alley. The new colour, Incandescent Electra, gets a thumbs up from me as well. It’s everything Dim Infusion should have been: warming and peachy, with distinct enough pigmentation to define it as a blush rather than a too-orange face powder.
The Ambient Lighting Blush Palette was created as a limited edition for the 2014 holiday season, so they are understandably in very short supply right now and are pretty much sold out everywhere (though Barney’s claims to be restocking in March). If you’re in the Los Angeles area, Hourglass’ flagship store on Abbot Kinney had a small handful of these left the last time I checked.
While you can find these on eBay for a premium, it’s really only a worthwhile option if you’re in love with these colours specifically and are convinced you’ll wear them all. For everyone else, I feel the better bet would be to identify your favourites and buy them as individuals instead…at least until another palette is released!
