Though I’m religious about wearing sunscreen and staying out of the sun, I have to admit that my complexion is better with a bit of warmth. Here’s a before and after to illustrate my point. It’s subtle, as bronzer should be on fair skin, but a definite improvement.
Between you and me, I think I actually look a bit sickly when I’m too fair – but that’s par for the course when your skin has olive undertones. Thankfully a little bit of bronzer keeps the green at bay! In these photos, I’m wearing one by Too Faced called Beach Bunny, from The Little Black Book of Bronzers (which I’ll be reviewing in depth next).
Substituting bronzer for blush is actually one of my favourite get-ready-in-a-hurry tricks because it instantly makes me look healthier and more alive. I tend to gravitate towards bronzers that are quite orange/red and have a bit of a shimmer to them, which shaves a step off my morning routine by taking the place of blush and highlighter.
