Sorry for the lack of posts lately. Over the last couple of weeks I’ve been busy, sick, sick and busy, on a plane, and then jet-lagged. With all that going on, I can’t say I blame my skin for freaking out! Thankfully, it’s finally calming down…at least to the point from which base makeup and concealer make a discernible difference.
My face is still quite red from the extreme dryness, breakouts and rashes (yup, for real) so aside from countering it with a very yellow base, I’ve been skipping blush altogether and just using a tiny bit of contour colour in the hollows of my cheeks for definition.
It’s subtle, but I think it goes pretty well with the lip colour I concocted this morning. I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect purple-grey lipstick for a while now, but as nothing I’ve seen has been quite right – and I’m loathe to shell out for a colour I’ll tire of in a month or less – I thought I’d mix one myself. This turned out to be a nice colour, but still not exactly what I want so I guess it’s back to the drawing board tomorrow!
