Milani’s baked blush in Luminoso is one of those drugstore products that gets raved about a lot online, so when I was in the US I picked one up for myself to try.
Luminoso is a warm, orange-leaning peach blush that has a bit of a golden sheen to it. I can see why people say that it’s a universally flattering shade, but I have a feeling that it would be underwhelming on medium to dark skin tones unless you really caked it on or used it as a luminizer instead.
On my fair skin, the colour showed up true to pan (i.e. the exact way it looks in the pan) though I didn’t notice much of a sheen.
To be fair, I used a pretty small amount. My face is naturally much more pink than my neck and liberal applications of peachy blushes tends to emphasise this…or make it seem like I’m wearing the wrong shade of foundation. To prevent that from happening, I kept my blush application light and focused just on the apples of my cheeks.
Overall I’d say Luminoso is a little over-hyped, but is still one of the better drugstore blushes I own. It’s a very flattering, healthy peach colour but probably looks best on light to medium skin tones.
