Beauty Face of the Day

fotd: copper and teal

A coloured waterline is so fun and unexpected, especially when worn with more subtle eyeshadow shades. I paired my blue liner with copper lids here, but it would also look amazing with a smoky bronze eye for more drama or an evening out.

The best thing about this look? It works on ALL eye shapes – hooded and monolid eyes included – because that defining pop of colour is on the lower waterline rather than the lid.

Eyeliner Tips:

1.  A smudge-resistant, waterproof liner is imperative for this look. The one I used had the slightest metallic sheen as well, which made the colour stand out even more.

2. Waterproof liners tend to be quite stiff, so I like to melt mine a little with a lighter for a smoother application. You can do this with a hair-dryer as well…either way, just make sure it’s cooled down before you use it on your eyes!
