Face of the Day Too Faced

fotd: too faced sweet peach collection

February 20, 2017

This is actually my second look with the Too Faced Sweet Peach collection – the first being one I did for my review of the Sweet Peach Eyeshadow Palette – but I also wanted to something a little less warm and peachy just to switch things up. I went with a bronzy olive green look here, using Bless Her Heart all over the lid, Puree and Candied Peach through the crease (I can’t resist a warm crease), Tempting to darken my outer V and Nectar to highlight the inner V.

The more I play with the Sweet Peach Eyeshadow Palette, the more enamoured I am with it. It feels like it was perfectly designed for me! I love warm eyeshadow looks, and this is essentially a warm neutral shadow palette with a few fun shades mixed in to keep things interesting. And those few fun shades – pinks, purples and golden greens – are right up my alley too. There isn’t a single colour substitution I’d make; it’s one of the few pre-made palettes that I love every single colour in.

I’m swear I’m not being paid to say this, but I genuinely think this is currently the best, most comprehensive and interesting warm-neutral eyeshadow palette on the market right now.

I’m wearing the Papa Don’t Peach Blush here (though with a light hand, since I didn’t want my face colour to compete with my eyeshadow) and the Creamy Peach Oil Lip Gloss also in Papa Don’t Peach on my lips. I know looked really brown in my swatches and you probably didn’t believe me when I say it transforms into a gorgeous nude on the lips, but TA-DAA! Nude!

Don’t you love makeup that swatches nicely but look even better in use? I mean, I have nothing against brown lipgloss, but this is such a good everyday nude. If there was one thing I could change however, I’d tone the scent of the gloss down by…a lot. Like, 75%. These are great glosses but they’re also super fragranced, which is kind of a shame because I think they’d appeal to lots more people if the scent was just more subtle.

Pricing & Availability: Too Faced Sweet Peach Eyeshadow Palete (SGD$76), Papa Don’t Peach Blush (SGD$45) and Creamy Peach Oil Lip Glosses (SGD$29) are available online and in store at Sephora Singapore.

Wow, your brows are usually already nice but they are STUNNING here. This look is so soft and romantic!

Thank you so, so much! I’ve been growing them out and sometimes feel a little weird about not shaping them, so your comment made my day!

Ah I can’t with heavily scented lip products. And again, I really think you make the palette that much more attractive with that beautiful face of yours 🙂

I typically feel the same way as you, but have been so enchanted by the shade of the Papa Don’t Peach gloss that I ended up taking it on a recent trip with me and…just got used to the scent. I don’t really notice it anymore! PS it’s a beautiful palette, with or without my face. I wish they hadn’t scented it because there would be so many more friends I’d love to recommend this to.
