I was a bit pressed for time this week so as much as I’d have loved to have really brought the drama with this FOTD, I ended up initiating SUQQU Ex-31 Gyoukou with a quick hazy look instead. The good news is that while this isn’t as editorial as my Hekikai take, it passed the reality test with flying colours – I’m happy to report Gyoukou is perfectly suited to the practicality of everyday use.
That matte orange was almost my undoing though. A light tap with my brush picked up so much pigment that I had to distribute the colour between both creases. Thankfully I have a gold medal in over-blending, so toning it down (with the help of some of the ivory colour) wasn’t too hard. I am definitely going to revisit this palette soon, on a day when I have the time to go all out!
In the meantime, I’m perfectly happy with this look. The warm tones are just so gorgeous as easy to work with that Gyoukou looks poised to replace #18 Sakuraori as my favourite travel quad. For those of you who have it, what’s your favourite placement?

November 13, 2019 at 8:30 pmHi! I’m so sorry but this was a look I did 3+ years ago and I honest cannot recall! The good news is that I still gravitate towards colours like this everyday and am pretty sure Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Diffused Heat will give you a similar blush effect if you’re as pale as I am. For lips, try NARS Lip Pencil in Get Off with a slick of lip balm over top. Hope that helps!
