Because Adam and I have been pretty busy lately, these photos ended up being taken on the fly rather than at home. I am usually a stickler for consistency and even lighting, but all things considered I think these turned out pretty well!
These photos feature SUQQU’s Designing Colour Eyes in 114 Hanaakari (miraculously still in stock at Harrod’s – hurry!), a limited edition palette released for their 2018 spring-summer collection which I reviewed here and here.
To get the sparkly pink shade to really pop, I applied all the base/crease shadows first and then dabbed some Too-Faced glitter glue on the centre of my lid before pressing a thick layer of the eyeshadow on with my fingers. Applying it with a brush will yield less pigmented, more delicate results – no less beautiful, just not the effect I was after here. I finished up with a flick of black eyeliner, and mascara.
I’m also wearing Pure Colour Blush in 106 Hanairoka here, as I felt that its bright pink hue would be the perfect compliment to the eyeshadow. When applied to my cheeks with a fluffy blush, the colour was far softer than in swatches – a delicate pink that turned out looking very natural and subtle. I love how SUQQU blushes bring some colour to my cheeks without competing with the rest of my makeup for attention.
I opted for a cool pink lip to complete this look, and chose SUQQU Flawless Lip Gloss in 06 Irobara aka Dusty Rose. As I mentioned in my review, it reminds me of the YSL Tint-In-Oil formula in the sense that it has a glossy finish without being sticky. I can double down on this stance now because we shot these photos on a very windy day with my hair constantly whipping into my face, and it was decidedly not the icky, frustrating experience lipgloss + loose hair usually make for!
