Now that it’s summer again, I’ve rekindled my love for coral everything. I’ve specifically been on a bit of bright coral lipstick kick, digging through my (limited LA) stash and swatching everything at Sephora to find “the one”. This stunning YSL lipstick came the closest to what I was after: equal parts pink and orange, and almost neon in hue.
Since this was the first time I was wearing it, I played it safe by pairing it with simple eye makeup and a blush in the same bright coral colour family to keep the look harmonious. I love bright and happy looks for the summer, but because my patience for makeup decreases as the temperates increases, they especially need to be quick and easy. This was a win on many levels (I still can’t believe I used less than 10 products here) so although I might try it with a smokey neutral eye next, chances are you’re going to be seeing variations of this look quite a lot!

September 4, 2017 at 9:47 pmI felt it was such a unique coral shade when I bought it, but since then I’ve realized there are certainly colours I already own that come close-ish. I bet you could easily dupe it by mixing colours!
