Face of the Day

I’ve been going through a bright pink lipstick phase lately. The brighter the better!

So far the brightest, most in-your-face pink I’ve found has been Make Up For Ever’s Lip Fever Artist Acrylip. It’s so vivid that it looks almost unreal in photos, but I assure you it’s just as show-stopping in real life.

I paired it with a pop of acid green eyeshadow, which you may recognise as being from SUQQU Ex-30 Hekikai.

Neon makeup can be daunting in theory, but hopefully this FOTD shows it can be quite wearable even for people without circus clown aspirations. The trick is to keep everything else kind of plain, both in colour and placement.

For example the neutral cat eyes I’m wearing here are very simple; anything more dramatic and this would have looked almost theatrical. Which is fine of course, if that’s what you’re after. I just enjoy the challenge of working bright products into “everyday” makeup looks so I get more regular use out of them.
