Day 5’s theme for the Advent Makeup Challenge was “Monochromatic”, and although I had some fun ideas in mind for this I ended up rushing and winging it due to an unexpectedly busy weekend schedule.
I picked pink because it was just the easiest colour for me to wear all over without too much fussing. I used my blush as eyeshadow as well to keep the look congruent, and tried my best to find a lipstick that had similar undertones. To my own surprise, I’m actually kinda ok with how this turned out…despite the rushed makeup and slightly crazy-looking bedhead! I’d like to revisit this on another day when I have more time, and maybe try it again with shades of orange or bright red.

December 15, 2016 at 2:42 pmI think it looks good! It’s a very youthful and girly look, but hey, if you can pull it off, why not? I wear pink often, but I don’t think I’ve ever gone for a full monochromatic look. I might give this a go come spring.
