There’s nothing like a naturally pretty, no-makeup makeup look.
But don’t be fooled: while my goal in life is to one day have skin that naturally looks this healthy, I’m currently doing the whole fake-it-till-you-make-it thing. And since my skin has been horrid lately, I’m faking it to the nth degree. There’s a full product list below for specifics, but basically what you’re seeing is the work of primer, a tinted moisturiser, a green colour corrector, two different concealers and a powder foundation, mostly applied with an armload of tiny brushes over the course of 30+ minutes.
Just in case you missed that the first time, I’d just like to state again for the record that I did NOT wake up like this.
Aside from the eleventy-billion base products, the rest of my look was very simple. All I used was a lip liner and tinted balm, blush, mascara, brow pencil and (drumroll please) an eyeshadow palette that doubled as a highlighter. Remember how I was saying that the light colours in SUQQU Ex-28 reminded me of MAC Lightscapade? Well I put that theory to the test and can confirm that layered together, Ex-28’s yellow, blue and pink really do have a similar look – right down to that faintly orange iridescence. Such a rewarding experiment!
Face: Burberry Fresh Glow Luminous Fluid Base, NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer, Inglot Cream Concealer in #36 (Green), Make Up For Ever HD Concealer, Cle de Peau Concealer, Lucy Minerals Mineral Foundation in Pale Olive // Cheeks: Milani Baked Blush in Bella Rosa // Brows: Make Up For Ever Pro Sculpting Brow // Lashes: Lancome Hypnose Mascara // Eyes and Highlighter: SUQQU Blend Colour Eyeshadow in Ex-28 Kinshasuna (P.S. jump on while you can, because it’s limited edition!)

March 18, 2016 at 11:16 amI beyond love this look. I would love to read your thoughts on the Milani blushes, or a review of blushes for pale skin in general. Just in case you run out of blog ideas. 🙂

March 29, 2016 at 9:05 amOoh thank you for the blog post idea! I’ll see what I can do about that 🙂
As for the Milani blushes, I have this and Luminoso both of which I love. I’m considering picking up a couple more actually! Also, Bella Rosa is bright and incredibly pigmented, but the right brush makes all the difference.
