After weeks of pretty spring pastels, I thought I’d switch things up and go a little darker today. I feel most like myself in borderline-vampy makeup looks, so it was nice going back to my comfort zone.
I was road-testing Tarte’s Tartelette In Bloom palette for this look, and really liked it a lot – more than the original, in fact! It’s a lot warmer than Tartelette, which is what makes it a better palette for my colouring.
As for the lipstick, it’s my one true dark-red love: MAC Diva. Not at all spring-appropriate, but it seems quite fitting considering how blustery and cold LA has been these last couple days. It feels like we’re heading right back into fall!

April 6, 2016 at 10:32 amDo you find that it has a scent? I received a sample that seemed unscented, but I have read that RBR foundation is scented. What is your take? I really loved the finish and am tempted, but they have a strict return policy. Thanks!

April 9, 2016 at 12:07 pmI went and sniffed mine again, and it didn’t have a discernible scent to me. If anything it just smells like foundation, not sweet or floral etc. Hope that helps!
