For some reason, Adam loves loves LOVES pale pink lipstick – especially the frosted variety. But, um…is it just me, or is frosty pink lipstick kind of…trashy
Most of my girlfriends think so, but guys don’t seem to mind – maybe trashiness has its allure. Either way, it seemed kind of silly for a makeup addict like me to completely write off a whole colour family, so I thought I’d give it a shot.
What do you think?
Ok, this colour is more frosty nude than pink, but I’m cool (ha!) with taking baby steps for now. My trick was to match it tonally to my eyeshadow and skin tone for a neutral look. To that end, the lip colour wasn’t a lipstick at all, but actually a mix of Revlon ColorBurst Lipgloss in Bellini (which is getting harder and harder to find in stores!) and Giorgio Armani Eyes To Kill Silk Eyeshadow in #8, the shimmery rose-champagne eyeshadow I used on the centre/inner corner of my lids. FYI the socket contour was Make Up Store’s Microshadow in Louder.
Adam loves it, and I have to admit I kind of do too. Goodbye weird lipstick prejudice!
