Clashing cool and warm makeup tones is one of those makeup “don’ts” I love to do. I find it makes both my eye and lip colours really pop, and – in my opinion – greater than the sum of their parts.
To keep the look bold but not tacky, I try to be quite careful about which colours I pair. I fall back on copper and rose gold eyeshadows a lot because they’re neutral without being flat, but like to mix it up in the lipstick department with various cool-toned brights. Although my current favourite way to wear this look is with a soft, simple eye (as above), clashing is kind of made for drama. Here’s an older photo from last year, with a much more intense copper eye…and purple ombre lips, of course.
