I’ve been meaning to pick up my Highlight Chronicles again with Becca’s Poured Shimmering Skin Perfectors, but the sudden change in weather here has wrecked absolute havoc on my skin. It’s not in good enough shape to do any skin-focused looks right now, but I’m working on remedying that!
In the meantime, here’s a plummy fall look that I built around a $3 drugstore gem: Wet n Wild’s eyeshadow trio in I’m Getting Sunburned.
I love the colour combination of this mini palette, and it had great pigmentation. My only gripe would be that the purple shade was a bit sheer on the purple and heavy on the frost. As such, it showed up a bit cool in contrast with the other two shades, so I helped it along a little with some MAC eyeshadow in Hidden Motive. FYI: Hidden Motive is actually a limited edition colour, but MAC’s Plum Dressing is very similar.
I finished up with my favourite fall lip colour – Fresh’s Sugar Lip Treatment in Plum. I swear, these tinted balms are just about the only thing that works on my cold-weather lips. I actually sleep with a stick of their Advanced Therapy under my pillow at night!
Face: Make Up For Ever HD Foundation, Cle de Peau Concealer Guerlain Perles des Neiges Meteorites
Cheeks: Burberry Beauty Light Glow Blush in Earthy, Kevyn Aucoin The Celestial Powder in Candlelight
Eyes: Wet n Wild trio in I’m Getting Sunburned, MAC eyeshadow in Hidden Motive & Deep Damson, Lancome Hypnose Mascara
Brows: Anastasia Dip Brow in Dark Brown // Lips: Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment in Plum

November 10, 2015 at 4:45 pmLOVE IT!!! At first I was like, “awwww I miss her warm highlights” but the more I look at the new color the more I love it on you. I feel like you can really pull off more cool looks now too. (not fair, that cool & warm looks are so flattering on you) I went to Sephora and bought all 4 of the double ended Bite l/s. Thanks for that. 😉

November 11, 2015 at 11:01 amI’m still getting used to the darkness of this colour too, but it’s semi-permanent so it’ll probably fade out soon! Oooh and those Bite doubles are awesome! Which colours did you get?

November 11, 2015 at 2:13 pmOh really? I use semi-permanent hair color too. I feel like it’s gentler on my hair…plus I don’t like the line of demarcation when hair starts growing out if you use permanent hair color. Although I’ve heard the colors are “richer” when you use permanent. Pros and cons I guess. 🙂
From Bite I got pepper/café, latte/cortado, holly/tannin & pomegranate/palomino. I really love them. (I haven’t tried P&P yet though…gotta work up to it. Although you pull it off beautifully!)
