Beauty Face of the Day

10-day makeup challenge: day 4

February 22, 2015

We had to be out of the house all day yesterday for our new hardwood floors to cure, which meant no laptop access, which meant a late challenge post. Oops!

Being forced out of the house worked out though, because it also meant driving down to South Coast Plaza for some olympic-level dawdling, and stumbling onto a Macy’s sale where we scored the most beautiful bedding ever. (I am crazy particular about bedding, so this is a very big deal for me.)

But back to makeup.

The day’s challenge theme of “Retro Winged Liner” really calls a 50’s upturned flick to mind, but I thought I’d try something different and did a thicker, slightly downturned 60’s shape instead. 60’s eye makeup was also all about the cut creases too, so I did that too – albeit a softer rendition for everyday wear.

Fun fact: we took these in the garage, with me holding a silver reflector behind my head as a background. You can’t tell from the photos, but I had one arm horribly twisted behind my back the whole time!
